We understand that dealing with the legal system can be confusing and intimidating. The United Communities Legal Center can help you through the process. Environmental Issues in the Public InterestOutreach: All Major Regional Centres CJSSA is a not-for-profit organization committed to providing quality professional legal advice that changes the lives of individuals, families and communities. Every year, more than 15,000 people in South Africa receive free legal advice through our network of centres in South Australia`s major cities and rural areas. Most centres offer their services free of charge. The Magistrate`s Court Legal Advice Service is a free legal advice centre that assists with minor civil disputes. We also work with other community groups to help them understand legal issues. Limited services available. The centre offers evening legal advice on Mondays and Thursdays. Please call to make an appointment. Ongoing legal assistance and/or representation is only available to persons who cannot afford a private lawyer, who are not entitled to legal aid and whose situation is legally logical.

Sometimes you or your family need help with a legal issue. At each centre, qualified lawyers, consultants and support staff take the time to explain your legal obligations, rights and options. Alternatively, your case may be referred immediately to legal aid, a private lawyer, or another non-legal service. The program aims to help students become better lawyers by involving them in the entire process of advising real clients legally. If a center provides legal representation or additional assistance, you may have to pay a fee (such as expert advice) if no waiver can be obtained on your behalf. We honour the contributions of Indigenous peoples, Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous peoples who have worked tirelessly to identify and remove barriers to access to justice for women and children in this land where we all live and share. Our services are staffed by law students in the past year and supervised by qualified lawyers. The Services are confidential and may assist with legal advice, letters, court documents and dispute resolution. Several organizations provide or organize free legal assistance. If an issue goes beyond counselling and minor help, costs may be incurred, or you may need to meet eligibility criteria (usually a resource test) to avoid or reduce these costs. Community Justice Services SA continues to operate and offers limited personal appointments in all offices under certain circumstances.

We will continue to provide telephone legal advice to those who do not receive in-person appointments. If possible, please contact us by phone or email instead of participating.
