September 2021, the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) is the new way to qualify as a solicitor in England and Wales. The SQE offers more flexibility in training to become a lawyer and we have entered into an agreement for our students with a post-graduation training provider subject to the terms and conditions. For students wishing to qualify as a lawyer, the Joint Legal Education Protocol agreed between the Lawyers Regulatory Authority and the Bar Standards Council recognises Royal Holloway as a qualified legal education provider, meaning that upon successful completion of this course, you will have completed the academic phase of the training to become a lawyer. Holders of the Indian Standard XII are considered for entry into the first year of our bachelor`s degree programs. We consider students who have passed the GCE A Level exams, the International Baccalaureate (IB) or an appropriate core programme, such as one of our Foundation Pathways, for access to undergraduate programmes. Applicants holding the South African National Certificate (SA NSC or IEB) (or prior to 2008 the Senior Certificate with Enrollment) will be considered for admission to our Bachelor`s degree programmes. Students need these grades in 5 subjects, without a life orientation. Students of the HELP Institute may be considered for direct entry into the second year of computer science programs, and students who complete the LSE degree may be admitted directly to the second year of the economics and monetary, banking, and finance programs.
