I joined their debt consolidation program 1/2019. To date, not a single account has been settled. No one will call me back. I joined their debt consolidation program 1/2019. To date, I have been sued by one of the program`s creditors, I pay $305 per month, and I am up to date on all payments. Four creditors in the program, not one settlement. I had sent someone home in January of this year to have a new power of attorney signed, and when that person arrived, all the documents had ***, not Stonepoint, named. I was told that the reason for the new power of attorney was that the legal group representing the creditor had said that they could not read the original law. I spoke several times with a girl named Megan who claimed to be a supervisor, she told me that she would personally take care of my situation. After not calling me back several times as promised, she asked one of her colleagues to tell me that she had spoken to me several times and that my case was being processed. I asked Megan to put me in touch with the person assigned to my case, and she told me that no one had been assigned to my case. Megan also told me that she turned on her supervisor and that this person would make a difference.
STILL NOTHING! In other words, she didn`t want to talk to me anymore. I called at least once a month until 11/2019 and I still can`t talk to someone assigned to my case. I called back last week and was promised a call back within 72 hours, again no reminder. I am a retired disabled police officer with 27 years of experience in the public service. I had to withdraw for medical reasons due to secondary progressive multiple sclerosis. My disability benefits are not much per month. I participated in this program to alleviate the stress of this situation, because stress is the instigator of my illness. I have only had additional stress since December of last year, when one of the program`s creditors informed me of the lawsuit.
I only have 15K debts in the program. This is UNACCEPTABLE! I only read terrible, not positive, reviews. I`ve searched all over the internet for a CEO of Stonepoint or *** and I can`t figure out who that person is. I want answers! With all the problems you have caused, I feel lied to and exploited. Shame on your corporate greed and the exploitation of people with disabilities. I`ve spent my career defending others against people like you and look, I`m the unfortunate victim now! I have a lot of money that I gave you and ABSOLUTELY nothing to show for it. I would like to be contacted by the CEO or president of that company. I want someone who has authority in this business to have what it takes to call me personally so we can discuss what I need to do from here. I refuse to pay for services not provided.
(The consumer stated that he did NOT accept the company`s response.) Some work has been done, but it is far from satisfactory. As soon as someone called me last week, I received a second call from a woman at Stonepoint telling them that she was handling Revdex.com complaints. She spoke so fast and was very intelligent in her conversation. She told me that she was happy that I had resolved my complaint and that she would issue a positive resolution. I had to tell him to stop, tell him that I was not satisfied, that nothing had been done yet. Satisfaction in my case will require some work on their part. I`m not satisfied yet! Program and contract incorrectly advertised for me. I enrolled with Stonepoint Legal Group as part of a debt settlement program. If I pay this legal group a monthly payment to pay off my debt accounts, I wanted help with the payment. In the contact, I understood that I had to pay these business fees, the reported fees did NOT exceed 50% of my payments. I called on Friday, February 28, 2020 to find out where my debt accounts were in the settlement process.
I signed up in August 2018, and since today, March 4th 2020, none of my accounts have even been settled remotely/at zero progress. In my contract and stated by several representatives of the service, this company states that billing begins 9-10 months after the start of the program. It`s been 19 months since I started this program, and not ONE of my accounts has been negotiated. When I called and found out that none of my accounts had been settled, I asked the reason and the service representative said it was because I only had $2,200 in my account with them. I was shocked because they were supposed to have $8,452.34 from me. I`ve been paying them $222.34 every two weeks since I started in August 2018. I then asked where all the money I was giving them went and they told me it went to Stonepoint Legal Group as a fee. This company steals my money. Not ONE account has progressed and they take half of my payment for themselves as “customer fees”. I`ve been in this program for almost two years and they`ve done nothing but take my money for themselves and let me go into the collections.
When the collectors started calling me and mailing me letters, I called the company and asked them why the collectors were calling me because the legal group at Stonepoint had said they would handle the accounts. Nowhere in my contract did anyone tell me that my accounts would be closed and go to collections. The company allowed them to make the monthly payments for me until they settled for less than the amount owed and could pay it in full. I also asked to end the program, but the service representative told me that I would only get back $2,000 and some change for what I currently have in my account with Stonepoint Legal Group. I am absolutely angry because they took over $6,000 in fees for services not provided and when I leave, I get nothing in return. I also intend to talk to a consumer advocate about this. Working with Stonepoint Legal Group is great. They understand that life is coming and will work with you on your personal situation and guide you through the maze of legal concerns. It`s a great group! We retained stonepoint for debt relief services in May 2019. We now have judgments against us without SLG`s help and without answers We abandoned stonepoint Legal Group in May 2019 and have since paid them $395 per month under our contract. In November 2019, we received a subpoena within 20 days of receiving the subpoena. We sent the documents to Stone Point according to the instructions.
We contacted them twice, sometimes three times a week to find out what we needed to do. We were told several times that someone would call us back and that never happened. They also told us that we had been assigned a lawyer and that the lawyer would contact us and represent us. The lawyer`s name has changed several times. We have never heard of a lawyer. In the end, we had to go to court ourselves to respond to the subpoena. They told us what to write on the phone because the lawyer never showed up. In February 2020, we received notice that an order for judgment had been filed and issued against us in January. Again, we were told that they would deal with it. We have never been able to get a clear answer. And I still didn`t know who was.today our lawyer was, the day before our hearing date, they finally gave us the lawyer`s contact information. We contacted the lawyer and she said she would not be tried because she did not know.
I spoke to a supervisor at stonepoint Legal Group who told me that he could see that everything that was completed was marked, but nothing was actually completed. Another told us that tomorrow in court he will probably garnish your wages and/or confiscate your property. The lawyer told us that it was pretty much done and that we did not even have to appear in court tomorrow. We have records from stonepoint Legal Group that show that we are in good standing with them, but nothing has been done to help us. If I could give negative stars, I would. I signed with Stonepoint 18 months ago to help settle some debts. Long contract and several calls from them to get things done. It was just a matter of signing up with them. Then the program started. I pay exorbitant fees every month and have paid them $19,240 to date, including $1500 for my debt!!!! I was sued by a creditor and Stonepoint told me not to pay anything or do nothing – but they didn`t represent me either, so of course I lost that lawsuit late and now I have this judgment against me. Then their lawyer made a deal with that debtor and got a deal that he passed on to Stonepoint, but they never started paying because they want me to “put an extra $500 in my account” to start those payments. I`ve called a dozen times in the last 18 months to ask a customer service representative, manager or anyone else to talk to me and help me in this horrible situation.
No one will ever be able to help me – I have had many promises that someone would call me back, and I have never received help or NEVER called anyone back. That`s terrible. I`m so frustrated. I`m looking for ways to take legal action against this “legal” company that is ripping me off. I called stonepoint legally for an update and was referred to a woman who was supposed to be in charge of Revdex.com affairs. She did nothing but ask, “Do you want to continue the program or not?” Every time I call, I get the same answer Today, they told me that “Joshua” is supposed to receive settlement offers, but they can`t call him because “he`s far from his office.” That`s the answer I get every time I call. Now I see that the case has been closed because they could not have contacted me, which is not true. They didn`t try. Also, I call them repeatedly, only to get the same answer every time.
So-and-so “we are working on it”. I originally contracted with Stonepoint Legal to try to reduce my total payments on my credit cards. They did not respect the contract. In August 2018, I signed a contract with Stonepoint Legal to reduce my debt and credit card payments. I signed the agreement to pay 579 on the 5th of the month and 597 on the 19th of the month. I received letters from *** in 2019 and sent this information to stonepoint.
