Since 2013, he has been named to Best Lawyers in America in four categories each year. Holland is a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College and received his law degree from the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond.
John Daniel is Head of Government Affairs and General Counsel for Virginia ABC. In this role, Daniel works with the CEO and members of Virginia ABC`s management team, advising them on the analysis and interpretation of laws and government policies in light of their potential impact on the agency. Daniel leads the AMF`s Hearing Service, the Office of Legal Counsel and the Legislative and Tax Policy Officer. Daniel is the liaison between the Virginia General Assembly and the agency. Prior to joining ABC in 2018, Daniel served as Assistant Attorney General of Virginia. He began his career in the Legislative Services Division and the Attorney General`s Office, and also served as Assistant Secretary of Commerce of Virginia. Most notably, Daniel was appointed by the then governor in 1986. Gerald Baliles as the first Commonwealth Secretary of State for Natural Resources.
Daniel has also held positions in the private sector and worked for several law firms, including McGuireWoods, Williams Mullen and Mays, Valentine (now Troutman Sanders). Daniel holds a Bachelor of Arts from St. Andrews Presbyterian College and a Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond. He began his career in public accounting as an external auditor before working as an assistant controller for a commercial real estate developer. Alfano graduated from Drexel University in Philadelphia with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and is a Chartered Accountant. Maria Everett chairs the board of directors of the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority. She was previously Senior Counsel in the Legislative Services Division and Director of the Virginia Advisory Council on Freedom of Information.
She has served on legislative committees and served as an advisor to the House General Law Committee. He drafted legislation that affects the regulation and sale of alcoholic beverages, including AMF legislation. She has also drafted and analyzed laws on government procurement and disclosure. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Virginia Tech and a J.D. from George Mason University School of Law. Tom Llamas has been named NBC News` chief national correspondent and will host a prime-time news program for NBC News Now, the network`s streaming service. During his tenure as Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Hill focused on increasing revenues, modernizing the agency`s business practices and infrastructure, and improving the Bureau of Law Enforcement`s regulatory services. Prior to joining ABC, Hill previously served as Under Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry, having been appointed by Governor McAuliffe in January 2014, having held the same position under Governor McDonnell since July 2011. Prior to that, Hill worked as an attorney in Williams Mullen`s Richmond office, representing various clients before the Virginia General Assembly, the State Corporation Commission, and other regulatory bodies, including Virginia ABC.
